Comment ne pas vous parler de la fille qui fait battre notre cœur dans Morgenbreede ? Comment ne pas vous parler de celle que nous essayons d'inviter tous les soirs à manger mais qui tous les soirs refuse ? Oui, c'est sûr, étant donné qu'elle mange à 17h00, on est pas prêt de l'avoir avec nous à 20h00...Suvi-Maria vient de Finlande, mais comme nous sommes ses amis, nous sommes autorisés à dire Suvi tout court... Après mûre réflexion, je pense qu'elle n'a que des amis :)
La première fois que j'ai rencontré Suvi, ce fut à son arrivée à Bielefeld, elle avait encore ses bagages autour d'elle, ainsi que deux gros balèzes en provenance de la même ville qu'elle : Lahti.
Elle était toute timide, ne parlait pas. Et ne comprenait pas mon franglais. Je me suis dit :"Oula, c'est mal barré avec elle..."
Puis vint le supplice... Quand vint le moment d'installer Internet dans sa chambre... Ah la la... Le pire moment de ce début de second semestre. Bon pour vous expliquer, je sais comment installer Internet dans l'immeuble (très facile), et je me suis proposé de faire cela pour tout le monde. Puis vint le tour de Suvi... Toc toc toc. Saloute, je viens installer Internet. Oki, entre. Suvi est petite, blonde, yeux bleus et téléphone Nokia et gentille comme tout. Mais - car pour chaque fille il y a un "mais" - mais disais-je, Suvi est d'un caractère TRES timide. Donc je rentre, m'assoie par terre, elle sur le lit et on allume le portable... Et elle regarde... Sans rien dire... C'est dans ces moments là que l'on se sent seul... On entendait les mouches voler (nous étions en mars, et il n'y a pas de mouches en mars, mais il me fallait une expression), j'installe le logiciel, mais il faut d'abord redémarrer l'ordi...Trois minutes de silence. Je risque quand même une question : "Eeeet sinon ? Pourquoi Bielefeld ?" Réponse évidente : "I don't know"... Nouveau blanc, et là, la pire chose qui puisse arriver : Internet ne marche pas... Ah lalala... Malheureusement elle n'avait pas de réveil dans sa chambre, ce qui aurait aidé à couvrir le silence. Et on désinstalle et on redémarre, et on réinstalle et on redémarre et là : délivrance ! ça marche !!! Un serrage de main plus tard (oui, le finlandais est froid quand il ne connait pas) (quand il conn
ait également), un serrage de main plus tard, j'étais dehors, me disant : gloup, il va vraiment falloir que l'on apprenne à se connaître.Et nous l'avons fait ! Anthony et moi-même sommes les présidents de fan club Suvi-Maria of Morgenbreede. Que d'émotion. Fleurs surprises devant sa porte, photo de nous dans un cadre, invitation à manger des glaces, redesign de sa porte... Et j'en passe.
Suvi est timide - finlandaise -, gentille, mimie, tout ce qu'on peut demander d'une amie :)

How can’t I tell you about the one who makes our heart beating in Morgenbreede? How can’t I tell you about the one we try to invite almost every night to eat with us (Anth & Me), but who every night refuses because she eats – pastas – at 17.00 whereas we eat –pastas – at 20.00…?
Suvi-Maria comes from Finland, this lovely country which manufactures blond girls with blue eyes and Nokia mobile phones. I say Suvi-Maria, but because now we are her friends, we are allowed to say only “Suvi”… Mmmhh… That would mean she has a lot of friends…
First time I saw you Suvi, it was in front of Morgenbreede, you just arrived in Bielefeld and still had your bagages with you. You were shy, I tried to speak with you, but you didn’t understand my frenglish, so I gave up with saying to myself: “It’s gonna be hard, but I have a few months to have a conversation with her”. You were with these two rude guys: Timo and Tomi, with biceps as big as my thighs, and you all come from Lahti, Finland.
Then came the torture… One of my worse experiences in Morgenbreede. I was – and am still – the “Morgenbre
ede Internet chief” and proposed to each of the new students to help them fixing it. So I went there, knocked at Suvis door… She opened with smile. Suvi is 21, small, blond, kind, has blue eyes and a Nokia mobile phone: she is a Finn, no doubt. But – because for each girl there is “but” – but Suvi is shy… VERY shy. When Scottie doesn’t know, she doesn’t speak. Oh sorry, when SUVI doesn’t know, she doesn’t speak. I’ve listened too much to this tune (thanks Anth and Jimbo). Anyway, I sat – on the floor – in front of her computer, and she sat on her bed, very quiet. We turn on the computer… Pom pom… Two minutes. I risk a question : “And what did you choose Bielefeld ?” She answered shortly which showed that she is only gonna answer questions, not asking. I start to feel bad. Is she gonna speak? I install the software but we have to restart the computer. We could hear the flies in the air and the computer working. Hopefully, she had no alarm clock, so no “tic tac” in the room… And at this moment came the worse thing which could have happened… : it didn’t work… So I had to uninstall, restart, install and restart again and everything under Suvi’s eyes… I wanted to run away, but I stayed until the end, and it worked!!! I took leave of Suvi with shaking her hand (of course she is a Finn and I don’t know her !) and left her place with saying to myself : “I’ll really have to learn more about her if we want to have a constructive conversation one day.
And this day came more than once, we spend a lot of time with Suvi (very often shouting at Anth’s window just to know if she is there). Anthony and I are now the co-president of the Suvi-Maria Morgenbreede Fan-Club. We’re quiet happy. And we show her that we are with offering her flowers, pictures of us in a frame, invitation to eat ice-creams, redesign of her door… And I think I forget some.

I have something funny to tell about Suvi : each time I knoch at her door she starts opening the door but there are always some shoes which stop the door. So she has to kick all her shoes with her feet to free the passage... It always makes me laugh :)
